Kathy McClure, President
Kathy McClure, the Principal Officer of McClure Publishing, Inc. created this company in 2006 to assist authors in publishing their literary works. While being committed to book tours, publishing workshops and vendor appearances, McClure has opened the book industry to herself and others, publishing over 32 books and creating marketing products/services.
McClure Publishing, Inc. has received the Best of 2019 Bloomingdale Award Program Business Hall of Fame for Seven (7) consecutive years in the Book Publisher Category.
With a background in architectural design and computer science, McClure has developed computer techniques in presenting marketing visuals to present authors and their books to the literary arts world.
Her writing career has taken her to writing and publishing non-fiction, fiction, a children's book (Be Like A Tree, Planted...; When A Man Luvs A Woman; and Fluffy-The Neighborhood Dog), the 6 Week Writing Course, Purple Ivy, and coach writing authors in completing their books that have been published through McClure Publishing, Inc. She is also currently working on a Trilogy of Horror, which consist of two mysteries and one thriller.
In addition, she created the children's side of publishing, McPubKids at https://www.McPubKids.com, a division of McClure Publishing, Inc.
McClure works as a legal secretary for over 30 years collectively in Chicago, Washington, Baltimore and Virginia. She participated three years consecutively in the Mayor of Chicago (Daley) Annual Spring Conference for high school students. McClure sat on a panel at the Harold Washington Library to discuss the book "Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg, CFO of Facebook. She interviewed casts at the Goodman Theater, downtown Chicago of the play "CROWNS" by Regina Taylor, Playwright.
McClure is the radio host of The Kathy McClure Radio Show where she interviews authors, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders and creates commercials to play during the shows. She is also the voice over of Purple Ivy (6 different characters), voice over of the 6 Week Writing Course, and the Editor-n-Chief of Kathy McClure eMagazine.
